GLUE ON
A turtle glue-on transmitter is attached to the carapace using various epoxy adhesives. The location of the transmitter on the carapace and the antenna material and length are dependent on the turtle species. Glue-on transmitters are easily attached and removed in the field. This attachment does not affect the turtle's behavior. Field range is greater for terrestrial species than aquatic species because water interferes with the VHF signal.
Better range will be realized if the enhanced range option (models with "B" suffix) is chosen.
